The State Center's Advisory Board includes prominent private practitioners specializing in antitrust or consumer protection law and/or former high-ranking members of State Attorneys General offices.
The principal function of the Advisory Board is to provide guidance to the Board of Directors on how best to achieve the State Center's objectives. In addition to providing policy guidance, members of the Advisory Board may propose initiatives to be undertaken by the State Center to further its mission. Members of the Advisory Board may also be asked to give their views on grant applications received by the State Center from non-governmental entities. The Advisory Board plays no role in reviewing confidential grant applications submitted by governmental entities. The Advisory Board is an advisory body only and has no decision-making authority with respect to any matter affecting the State Center.

Jodie has had extensive government experience, most recently as Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the Federal Trade Commission. Jodie holds a B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin and a J.D. degree from Yale Law School.
David Boies, IIIis a founding member of the Virginia-based law firm of Straus & Boies. David has handled numerous complex litigations involving both antitrust and consumer issues. David holds a B.A. degree from the University of Redlands and a J.D. degree from the College of William & Mary.
Wallace Malleyrecently retired from the Vermont Attorney General's Office after serving 13 years as its Chief Deputy. He had earlier been the office's Chief of Public Protection, a position that included consumer and antitrust matters within its responsibilities. Wally will be teaching Consumers, Markets and Public Policy at the University of Vermont in the spring of 2006. He holds a B.A. from Duke University and a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Janet L. McDavidis a partner in the Washington, DC office of the law firm of Hogan & Hartson. Jan focuses on antitrust, competition, and trade regulation with a particular emphasis on government investigations, litigation and antitrust policy issues. Jan is a past Chair of the Antitrust Section of the American Bar Association. Jan holds degrees from Northwestern University and Georgetown University Law School.
J. Grant Woodsis a the founding member of the Phoenix, Arizona law firm of Grant Woods, PC., where he specializes in litigation across a broad range of issues. Grant served as Attorney General of Arizona. Grant holds a B.A. degree from Occidental College and a J.D. degree from Arizona State University.
